FREE parking for up to 2 hours (you do need to obtain a ticket from the ticket machine) 

There are a few parking spaces allocated for those holding a Blue Badge, you do not need to obtain a ticket but you are required to display your badge. If there are no free spaces then you may park anywhere within the carpark, again just display your blue badge.

 Appointment times - we try our best to accommodate our client's needs.

We do NOT offer creche facilities neither are babies or children allowed to accompany the person engaging into the counselling room.

******* Ivy Counselling has a 24 hour notice, Cancellation Policy, of which is discussed and a copy handed to every client during the free initial consultation. During your first counselling session the policy is reiterated. There are NO exceptions regardless of reason for cancellation.  We incur huge overheads, therefore our cancellation policy is necessary in order to continue offering you our service with the sole aim of 'helping you to help yourself for a brighter future'.          


Briefly, Diane and Yvonne in addition to working in private practice between them have experience in working as counsellor trainers at local colleges. Delivering Introduction to Counselling, Counselling Skills, Counselling Studies and Diploma Level Therapeutic Counselling, (achieving a 100% pass rate). Also Supervision for CRUSE Bereavement Supervisees.  


We have in excess of 17 years experience of working within the field of Domestic Abuse and the impact on others. This included being the prime motivator in setting up the first Domestic Abuse Unit of the Devon and Cornwall Police that went on to be the model for the force. A Counsellor in the National Health Service for 5 years, CRUSE Bereavement Care for 4 years as a grief counsellor and St Lukes Hospice supporting and counselling the bereaved not forgetting the wonderful opportunity of counselling students at Plymouth University.  

Ivy has now become a CPCAB Approved Training Centre. In 2014 Diane and Yvonne delivered Drug and Alcohol Awareness one day courses which were suitable for everybody. They proved to be both informative and enlightening and unlike other similar one day courses. There was ample time to see and discuss replica drugs and paraphernalia first hand which was embraced and well received.
