What is Person-Centred Counselling?
Person-Centred Counselling is a non-directive and compassionate approach that trusts each person’s natural capacity for growth. Rather than giving advice or setting tasks, I offer a safe, understanding space where you can explore what truly matters to you , free from judgement or pressure. The relationship itself becomes the therapy: through being deeply heard and understood, you can begin to reconnect with your inner wisdom and emotional truth. This process takes time, but it often brings lasting transformation and self-understanding. In my work, I integrate this person-centred philosophy with awareness of the mind, body, and emotions, allowing healing to unfold in a more holistic and intuitive way.
What does “Integrated Person-Centred Approach” mean?
My approach is rooted in the Person-Centred belief that every individual carries an inner potential for healing and growth. Over the years, I’ve found that true transformation happens when we listen not only to the mind but also to the body and emotions, the parts of ourselves that often speak without words. By integrating awareness of mind, body, and emotion, and sometimes drawing on subtle intuitive or creative elements, therapy becomes a gentle dialogue between your conscious and unconscious world. It’s a personalised and intuitive process; no two sessions are ever the same, allowing you to reconnect with your own rhythm and inner balance.
What Happens in a Counselling Session?
Each session is a safe, private space for you to talk about whatever feels important. There is no need to prepare or perform , you can simply bring yourself as you are. You may share your thoughts, emotions, memories, or even moments of silence. My role is to listen deeply, help you explore what’s underneath your feelings, and support you in making sense of your experiences at your own pace. Sometimes we may use gentle creative or body-based reflections to help connect the mind and emotions more fully. Every session is unique, shaped by what you bring and what feels right in the moment.
Who is Counselling for?
Counselling is for anyone who wishes to understand themselves more deeply, navigate emotional challenges, or create meaningful change in life. You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, lost, or simply curious about your own inner world. There is no problem too big or too small to bring into therapy; what matters is your willingness to explore and grow. My work is open to people from all backgrounds and cultures. Whether you are adjusting to life in a new country, seeking clarity in relationships, or reconnecting with your sense of self, counselling can offer a gentle space to begin that journey.
